Mississippi
Adventure 2002
You and your students will embark on a journey of discovery; what kinds of science, math, history, art, music and sociology can you find in your watershed? How can you become a steward and protect your watershed? On the Mississippi Adventure, you'll find resources, inquiry projects, and collaborative partnerships that bring learning to life. Teachers, get started by learning more about the Steamer Trunk inquiry project. It's hand-on, interdisciplinary and a whole lot of fun! The trunk exchanges will happen in late April, 2002. Step Two, email us and let us know you'd like to participate. We need your name, email address, school name and address, and grade level you teach. Each week, check out the Weekly Feature, for stories, case studies and resources to enhance your watershed study. The final event of the Mississippi Adventure is our student-led Interactive Expedition. Take a look at the last student adventure, with daily reports, photos, and journals. The Interactive Expedition for 2002 is sure to be bigger and even more memorable! Students, if you're looking for games, puzzles or interactive maps, doing research for a report, or if you're just curious, check out our Students' area.
